---- — No more same-day booking fees! No more fees for crossing county lines! Catch-A-Ride’s new fare structure, which begins Jan. 1, 2014, will allow clients to schedule rides up to seven days in advance and without worry of incurring fees for crossing county lines or same-day bookings, said community relations assistant Jennifer McClellan of LifeTime Resources, Dillsboro, which organizes the program.
In addition, the fares will be based on miles to be travelled: 0-5 miles = $1.50; 6+ miles = additional 25 cents per mile. On the first five miles, there is a 50 percent discount available for adults 60+, children up to 13 and persons with permanent disabilities.
Catch-A-Ride’s hours of operation will be weekdays 6 a.m.-6 p.m. A restructuring of the routes will provide increased availability during peak hours of operation.
To book a ride: toll-free 800-330-7603 or 812-432-3960.
