---- — In January 2012, Indiana State Police Master Trooper Ben Bastin was assigned to investigate two Ripley County burglaries, one on Cave Hill Road and the other on County Road 350 East, said Sgt. Noel Houze, ISP Versailles District public information officer.
During his investigation, the crime scenes were processed and forensic evidence was collected by Bastin with the assistance of Sgt. Steve Weigel and Trooper Joe Prather. “As a result of laboratory testing and forensic analysis, a suspect was developed in the case,” Houze noted.
Bastin arrested Kyle Graham, 25, Versailles, Nov. 5 on two counts of burglary, both Class B felonies. The trooper obtained the warrants and served them on Graham at the Ripley County Jail, where he was already incarcerated on unrelated criminal charges.
Houze reminded, “Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.”
