WGU Indiana’s College of Business has launched a new master’s degree program in management and leadership. It is designed to equip working adults with the leadership and organizational skills they need for effective change management, strategic management and developing high-performance teams, according to a press release.
The degree is for business professionals who seek to expand their career opportunities or improve job performance by honing their ability to be effective leaders and managers – whether they aspire to enter management or are already in a management role.
“Over the next 10 years, Indiana will have an estimated 113,000 openings for high-skill job positions due to job growth and replacements, with the largest expected demand in management,” said Allison Barber, WGU Indiana chancellor. “Many of these jobs require higher-level education and experience. Therefore, quality work experience, coupled with a relevant, advanced degree ... will be critical in filling these positions.”
Students enrolled in this new online degree program will enhance their ability to lead and manage in dynamic environments, such as business, government, nonprofits or education. Scholarships of up to $2,000 for this new degree program are being awarded to business professionals who wish to cultivate leadership and organizational skills.
