Police looking for Holton man

Ripley County law enforcement officials are looking for information on the whereabouts of a Holton man, according to a Nixle message from the Ripley County Sheriff's Office.

About 7 p.m. Sept. 10, Holton Town Marshal Bob Curl received information as to the whereabouts of Rocky Tyler, 27, who is wanted for an outstanding arrest warrant through Jennings County.

Curl located Tyler in the Nebraska area, Jennings County. When the marshal approached his location, he observed a Polaris Ranger that appeared to match the description of the machine recently reported stolen from the Holton area. Once Tyler witnessed the officer's presence, he fled on the Ranger.

After pursuing Tyler a short time, Curl lost sight of Tyler and the vehicle, which was later recovered in Jennings County. Tyler was not apprehended and is still at large.

Curl was assisted by RCSO deputies, Indiana State Police and the Jennings County Prosecutor's Office.

Anyone with information on Tyler is urged to call 812-689-5555.
