Batesville Police officers received a 911 call Sept. 8 around 7:30 a.m. reporting an unresponsive 51-year-old male at the Hampton Inn, according to Detective Sgt. Mike Benjamin.
The police, along with EMS personnel, responded to the hotel and found a male inside of a room, unresponsive and not breathing. "There was no obvious sign of trauma to the male, who was identified as Patrick Maguire, Florida. He was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County coroner," Benjamin revealed.
A death investigation is underway by Batesville Police Department detectives, and an autopsy is scheduled to be conducted by the Hamilton County, Ohio, Coroner's Office. Official autopsy and toxicology results could take four to six weeks to receive.
