Three teens injured in accident

BATESVILLE — Three teens were injured in a one-vehicle accident in Dabney May 5, according to Ripley County Sheriff Tom Grills.

When officers arrived at the scene around 5:13 p.m., they determined William Miller, 18, Sunman, had been traveling south on Michigan Road when the 1998 Ford Ranger he was operating went off the left side of the road for unknown reasons and collided with a tree.  

He was transported by Milan Rescue 30 to Margaret Mary Health for treatment of internal injury and lacerations. Two 17-year-old passengers, Emily Farmer and Jared Mains, Osgood, were transported to Margaret Mary Health for treatment of internal injures by Rescue 69 and Ripley County EMS respectively.

The Versailles Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

The accident is under investigation by the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.
