---- — No suspects in rural Batesville break-in
On July 5 at 2:49 p.m., Nick Doll reported to the Batesville Police Department that there was a break-in at Tri-County Coonhunters.
Sheriff Tom Grills confirmed, “Coonhunters had a small amount of change taken. No leads. No arrests.” Persons with information about the incident may contact the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office at 812-689-5558.
Rummage sale donations sought
Donations except for adult clothing are being accepted for the Batesville Area Historical Society Rummage Sale. They can be dropped off Monday-Wednesday, July 29-31, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Batesville Community Church, 103 E. George St., reports member Anne Baran. The sale is at that location Aug. 1-3.
As BAHS is a nonprofit organization, donations are tax deductible. All proceeds will benefit the BAHS museum at 15 George St.

Indiana State Fair discount offered
The Indiana State Fair is one of the state’s most treasured traditions. It brings Hoosiers together to celebrate history, communities and to partake in the occasional elephant ear. It’s an Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles tradition to offer Hoosiers half-price admission of $5 on BMV Discount Day Wednesday, Aug. 14.
Persons can simply click www.in.gov/bmv/files/bmvdiscount.pdf to print coupons to bring to the fair. Each person in a group needs one.
