Services available include on-site physicians and nurses, occupational and physical therapy, speech and hearing help, nutritional education, an on-site pharmacy, podiatry, optometry and dentistry. The home provides a secure Memory Care Unit for those with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Other IVH services are a resident library and media center, large outdoor picnic area, gardening area, beauty shop, transportation services, crafts and hobbies and many more activities.
The facility now accepts Medicare A.
Criteria for admission include being honorably discharged; being a disabled or destitute Indiana resident for at least one year prior to application; or being a spouse or surviving spouse of an honorably discharged veteran married at least five years prior to the veteran’s death.
