The Batesville Police Department recorded 26 offense incidents in February, according to its CrimeStar Law Enforcement Records Management System. There were four cases each of thefts and mental health issues.
Other categories: mischief, three; cruelty to animals and warrant service, two; sexual battery, domestic battery, battery, residential entry, delinquency, marijuana possession, public intoxication, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, assist another agency, nonmoving violation and suspicious activity, one each.
During the month, dispatchers answered 477 calls for service. Officers responded to 40 alarm calls, 25 reports of suspicious activities and persons, 19 accidents, nine traffic complaints and eight animal complaints.
They checked out nine drunk driver and pedestrian reports, eight civil disputes, seven personal crimes, six property crimes, six physical fights, four vehicle lockouts and three domestic cases.
Sixteen handgun permits and nine sets of fingerprints were requested in February.
