Death ruled a homicide

---- — Katelyn Markham, Fairfield, Ohio, was reported missing Aug. 14, 2011. In April, skeletal remains located near Cedar Grove were identified as hers.

After reviewing the results of post-mortem examinations conducted by various forensic specialists, Franklin County coroner Wanda Lee has ruled Markham's cause of death as undetermined and her manner of death as homicide, reports Sgt. Noel Houze, Indiana State Police Versailles District public information officer.

On Aug. 13, the coroner's office released her remains so her family could make funeral arrangements.
