---- — The Rural Alliance for the Arts will once again bring the Minnesota-based Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre to Batesville, this time for a production of “Peter Pan” the week of July 15-20, reports RAA publicity chair Kathleen Bohman.
Up to 81 local youth ages 8-18 are needed to play the roles of Peter Pan, Wendy, John, Michael, Tinkerbelle, Crocodile, Pirates, Lost Kids and Beasts.
Auditions will be held Monday, July 15, from 8:30-11 a.m. Auditioners need to plan to be there the entire three hours. Rehearsals will be from 9 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday. Dress rehearsal starts at 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, and performers stay until the performance that night.
Performances will be on Friday, July 19, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 20, at 2 p.m. Tickets at $5 can be purchased at the door.
All rehearsals and performances will be in the Batesville High School auditorium.
Participation is free for RAA member families. There is a $25 participation fee for nonmembers.
