Saner pointed out, “This highlights the need for a shell building to attract new industry in town and being able to provide new opportunities .... I’m still on board that we should attack both. Having an availability of a 300,000-square-feet-plus building is good, but having another project ready to go is equally important.”

Batesville Industrial Park Commission action • Members gave a nod to an expansion for Eltek, 1863 Lammers Pike, subject to approval for permits by building commissioner Tim Macyauski. Seventy-five hundred square feet of the existing parking lot will be changed, with 2,500 square feet being made into offices, and the rest being relocated into green space. The appearance of the new offices will match the existing facade.
