Franklin County is now under a Level 1 travel advisory, according to a Jan. 25 9:10 a.m. Nixle e-mail message. Level 1 is the lowest level, a Franklin County 911 dispatcher said. “Please use caution on county roadways.”
“As the snow continues to fall in southeastern and south central Indiana the roadways are beginning to become slick and hazardous,” reported Sgt. Noel Houze, Indiana State Police Versailles District public information officer, at 9:20 a.m.
Motorists are urged to avoid unnecessary travel. Citizens are also requested to avoid calling state, county or local law enforcement dispatch centers for travel conditions.
