GREENSBURG — Greensburg Police Department officers responded to a stabbing victim at Decatur County Memorial Hospital at 6:49 p.m. Wednesday, July 6.
According to GPD Chief Stacey Chasteen, the victim, Aaron Starkey, 20, Laurel, arrived at the emergency room with a knife wound in his throat.
Due to the severity of his injuries, Starkey was transported to Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, where he remains in critical condition.
A preliminary investigation of the incident by Detective Bill Meyerrose is still underway. Chasteen did report that the injury was inflicted due to a dispute of some kind.
