Former BHS players to hit the hardwood Nov. 27
The Batesville basketball program is going to hold its first annual alumni games on Friday, Nov. 27, at the high school.
“The goal of this event is to highlight the tremendous tradition of Batesville Basketball, “ BHS varsity coach Aaron Garrett commented.
There will be two games coordinated by graduation years.
The first game will be at 1 p.m. and will include former players up to 1995.
The second game will feature players from 1996-2009.
“We will have officials and special game rules (i.e running clock) that will be explained that day,” Garrett commented. “I hope this day of basketball is enjoyable for all, while allowing us to unite the program all the way through to the current players.”
Admission will be $5 for fans attending the game.
“We hope to offset all costs and raise funds for the basketball program,” he added. “Additionally, we will have the small room reserved that evening at the Knights of Columbus for a post-game gathering so that all the former players have a place to relive some memories and catch up with teammates.”
