Published May 05, 2008 09:23 am - Jean Leising, a Republican candidate in the race for state Senate District 42, has been endorsed by both the Indiana Farm Bureau Elect and Franklin County Farm Bureau.

Leising endorced by Farm Bureau



Jean Leising, a Republican candidate in the race for state Senate District 42, has been endorsed by both the Indiana Farm Bureau Elect and Franklin County Farm Bureau, according to her husband and campaign coordinator Frank Thompson.

Robert Kraft said, "We at Farm Bureau sincerely appreciate Jean’s efforts on behalf of agriculture in Indiana and we look forward to continuing our relationship with her during the upcoming session of the General Assembly."

Leising is a lifelong Farm Bureau member who resides on her family farm in Ray Township near Oldenburg. She is in a partnership with her daughter and son-in-law in a breed-to-wean hog operation.

She also received the endorsement of Max Ellison April 15. the former Connersville mayor stated that he was withdrawing from the race, and asking his supporters to vote for Leising instead.
