Two arrested following home visit

Indiana State Police troopers assisted the Franklin County Probation Department with a home visit of two clients Monday, March 30, at around 10 a.m., reported Sgt. John Bowling, Connersville District public information officer. “What they found were the precursors for making methamphetamine.”

Once the items were discovered, a search warrant was obtained for the residence at 13088 Smoky Hollow Road, Brookville. During this search, an active meth lab and a firearm were located.

Arrested were Lloyd Conn, 34, and Tiffany Hollins, 21, Brookville. Both were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, a Class B felony, and child endangerment, a Class D felony.

Two children under 3 were found in the home and turned over to Child Protective Services, according to the officer.

The ISP Clandestine Lab Team was called to the home to dismantle the toxic chemicals, Bowling said.

Troopers also found two stolen items during the search, a riding lawn mower and box trailer. They “also recovered five pickup truckloads of articles that are believed to be stolen,” he added. Investigators were at the residence until the early morning hours of March 31 sorting through the property.

Additional charges could be added as the investigation is ongoing. Troopers also were assisted at the scene by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana conservation and excise officers.
