Dear editor,

On Wednesday, June 18, the Southeastern Indiana YMCA had its annual Batesville Music and Arts Festival 5K Run/Walk at Liberty Park. Despite the rainy weather, 167 runners and walkers participated.

The event wouldn’t be successful without the volunteers and sponsors. In particular, I would like to thank Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc., Kroger, McDonald’s, the City of Batesville police and street departments and mayor’s office and Ripley County Amateur Radio Club. Also, thanks to many of the great volunteers who helped the event run so smoothly.
