Published October 04, 2008 03:35 pm - The Batesville Bulldogs defeated the previously undefeated Oldenburg Academy Twisters 5-0 in the sectional finals on Saturday. Bulldogs win tennis sectional The Batesville High School tennis team captured its 17th consecutive sectional title Saturday by defeating the Oldenburg Academy Twisters by a score of 5-0.
Tyler Hagan, Brandon Kerker and Connor Hagan were winners in singles play. Tom Robertson and Nick Wanstrath teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles, while Joe Fortkamp and Ted Cooley won at No. 2. The Bulldogs improved to 21-1 on the season and will play at the Richmond Regional beginning Tuesday.
