An ad for Dr. M.J. Pfeiffer, an optometrist, asked, “Madam! Is your husband a grouch? He may need glasses. Eyestrain frequently is the root of chronic irritability. It may be the reason for your husband’s ‘nerves’ … his short temper. The sad part is that he can’t help himself because he doesn’t know what’s wrong. Induce him to have his eyes tested this week!”

The Osgood Cowboys won the sectional tourney by upsetting the Batesville Bulldogs.

St. Peter’s Catholic Church members dedicated their new auditorium and parish hall. All labor, except bricklaying and electrical work, was completed by parish members.

The Budget Shop had spring dresses for $1.98-$3.98.
