---- — Enhanced Telecommunications Corp. leaders have added two hot spots in Batesville, said Brandy Wessel, ETC public relations and media planner.

Guys & Gals Quarters, 22 Saratoga Drive, now has free, wireless Internet access for clientele using enabled devices. “We’re happy to offer this additional feature to our clients,” said owner Tamara Lamping. “This is just one more way we have improved upon our guests’ salon visits.”

Hours are Monday and Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Tuesday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Likewise, customers at Tuba’s Place, 425 S. Park Ave., can surf the Web. “We’re happy to offer this to anyone who stops by with a wireless-Internet enabled device,” said owner Pam Narwold, believing it will heighten “our customers’ experience.”

Tuba’s opens for business Monday-Saturday at 11 a.m. and Sunday at noon. Closing times vary. Although known for its beverages, Tuba’s does offer a family-friendly side in addition to its bar area, according to Wessel.

Other ETC-powered hot spots in this area include Batesville Memorial Pool and Liberty Park (both seasonal), Children’s Dental Care, Cricket Ridge, Fresh & Light Smoothie Cafe, Ison’s Family Pizza, KFC-Taco Bell, Knights of Columbus, Lil’ Charlie’s, Pearl Street Pub, Pizza King, RomWeber Marketplace, Sherman House, Skyline Chili, Southeastern Indiana YMCA, Tri-State Artisans, Wagner’s Village Inn and Wendy’s.
