Nick Farrell sank the hole-in-one shot at Margaret Mary Health’s annual golf outing Aug. 1 to win $10,000, said communications specialist Kasi Christin.
When asked about his reaction to the shot, Farrell said, “When the ball first disappeared from the green, I actually wasn’t sure it went in. I thought it may have just rolled over a ridge. But after the witness drove up to the green and confirmed it, there was a lot of hugging, including some people I didn’t know.”
He added, “The whole experience was a giant adrenaline rush. I was still shaking on the next tee box, which made it really hard to swing a club.”
This is the second year in a row a hole-in-one has been made at the event. Both were made on Hole 4, which is a Par 3 and 172 yards. Last year’s lucky shot was made by Chris Fledderman.
Each year, MMH hosts a golf outing, with the proceeds from this year’s fundraiser benefiting the Margaret Mary Health Foundation.
