Company presents Wallace with top honor

Ask anyone who knows Chad Wallace to describe him, and they’ll say three things – heart, passion and sincerity.

For that positive attitude and for motivating so many others to live their best lives, Anytime Fitness, the world’s fastest-growing fitness club chain, honored Chad Wallace as Personal Trainer of the Year at the company’s annual conference in Florida Sept. 28 in front of more than 1,600 club owners and corporate staffers, said public relations manager Erin Klegstad, Hastings, Minn.

Wallace “helps transform and improve the self-esteem of hundreds of Anytime Fitness members at 14 clubs in Indiana, nine of which he manages directly,” according to her. “Chad does personal training at and manages the Anytime Fitness in Batesville.”

Wallace was chosen for several reasons, said Chuck Runyon, CEO and co-founder of Anytime Fitness. “Not only does he have a burning passion to positively influence every person he meets, he is also a true force of fitness passion. He bleeds purple.”

The recipient was floored at the honor. “Live your life to serve others, maximize every opportunity and make a difference,” he said. “There are millions of people who walk around every day believing they don’t have a purpose. I believe Anytime Fitness can help anyone find that purpose and by doing so will have an everlasting effect on the self-esteem of the world.”

Wallace started transforming his life as an Anytime Fitness member in Greensburg, and often says he can’t imagine his life if he had never joined.

The trainer is also involved in each club community. He oversees a “pay it forward” campaign where money is donated monthly to a member in need, encourages members to participate in a mud run called Mud-Stash and donates his personal income to help out less fortunate team members.

Founded in 2002, Anytime Fitness has over 2,200 clubs serving nearly 2 million members on five continents.
