BTD founder honored

— Batesville Tool and Die Inc. has honored its founder, Ronald Fledderman, by presenting he and his wife, Jacqueline, with a plaque on behalf of the family and the company, reports Hank Bentz, Ivy Tech Community College marketing and communications executive director.

The plaque denotes Batesville Tool and Die’s support of the new Ivy Tech Forethought Campus. As a result of the generous contribution, a permanent plaque will be displayed in the new Forethought Campus to identify the Ronald Fledderman Conference Center.

Jody Fledderman, Batesville Tool and Die president and chief operating officer, has supported the Ivy Tech effort to obtain the modern, spacious Forethought facility and termed an expanded Ivy Tech Community College in Batesville “vital to the long-term economic prosperity of Batesville, Ripley County and the southeast region of Indiana.”

A plaque of appreciation was presented to Ronald and Jacqueline Fledderman on Thanksgiving Day. It states, “Ivy Tech Training Conference Center provided by Batesville Tool and Die in honor of its founder, Ronald Fledderman. This facility is offered to educate, inspire and promote the growth of individuals so they can enhance the lives of many.”

When presented the recognition by his children and grandchildren, Fledderman expressed his gratitude to the community by saying, “Batesville has provided many opportunities for me. I’m honored that the business I started can give back to the community.”
