Western store opens in Brookville

“Wild Bill’s Western and General Store is primed to be the newest success story of the Brookville business community,” reports Jenna Danielle Moore. Owners “Wild” Bill and Cindy Murray are excited to open the doors to their new family-owned and -operated business at 709 Main St. Moore, their daughter, will serve as the store’s general manager and her husband, renowned Outlaw country music artist Dallas Moore, will perform acoustic tunes during the High Noon at Wild Bill’s Music Series from noon-1 p.m. on select Saturdays.

The store will carry full lines of Ariat, Dan Post, Laredo and Dingo boots; Charlie One Horse and Stetson hats; and also custom tack and leather goods by Cody Tibbs. Men’s and women’s Western style clothing and jewelry, home decor and country lifestyle items, retro candies and classic Southern treats (including RC Cola and Moon Pies) are other items that can be purchased.

When asked “Why Brookville, Ind.?” the manager answered, “We really did our homework when we were scouting out what would become our location. After looking at several places in the Tristate area, we kept coming back to our original idea of Brookville. We could see that there was no other business quite like ours anywhere around. We have always had friends and family in and around the area and it seemed like a perfect fit for us.”

She adds, “At Wild Bill’s, what we are really offering people is a little piece of our lifestyle and we found that there were many like-minded folks in the area who found it difficult to find many of the items we offer without going all the way out west to Texas or Montana.”

Wild Bill’s Western and General Store will be open seven days a week: Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. More information is available at 765-547-1045 or
