Guys & Gals Quarters, Batesville, earned the 2014 Eco Chic Award at the Aveda Catwalk for Clean Water Event at the Alexander Hotel, Indianapolis, April 27.
“This award was given to only one model of the 51 models participating in Indiana,” reported Tamara Lamping, Guys & Gals Quarters owner. The event theme was called “Global Culture Clash,” borrowing and blending colors and textures from other cultures. The local salon entered three models and named their collection “Tres Chic de la Trashion.” Photos of the models are featured at Indystar.com and Indianapolismonthly.com.
“There is no better team to work with than my family of girls at Guys & Gals,” Lamping shared. “Our salon worked tirelessly on putting together everything for this event, from the initial design, building of the outfit, to the creation of the look (hair and makeup).”
Guys & Gals Quarters originated in Oldenburg in 1977. Lamping’s drive and passion for the industry created the shop’s “everyday to runway” looks. “For Tamara, it is not about the individual hair or spa experience, it is about the guest’s total experience,” according to the news release.
