Area residents should clear their calendars and get ready for a night of fun and competition with the Southeast Indiana Small Business Development Center at Risk It: Indiana! Thursday, May 15, at 6 p.m. at the Venture Out Business Center, Madison.
Risk It: Indiana, sponsored by the Hanover College Business Scholars Program and Lanthier Winery, is an exciting competition to highlight and award the ingenuity of local inventors and entrepreneurs in southern Indiana. Each of the competitors will present his or her unique invention or concept to a panel of respected business professionals in a heated competition to win over $4,000 in prizes.
According to SISBDC director Blayr Barnard, “We have a great lineup of talented individuals presenting at the event. Their names and counties: James Harris, Jefferson; James Gorman and Mark Keillor, Decatur; Ben Fogt and Dawn Andrews, Bartholomew; and Jyll Stuart, Melanie Lipsey and Nigel Hawman, Floyd.
The audience will have a say as well, as each of the competitors competes for the Audience Choice Award. Barnard adds, “The atmosphere will be lively throughout the night as guests enjoy some delicious food and sodas.”
