Live a Dream Program thrills resident

St. Andrews Health Campus, a Trilogy Health Services community and Batesville provider of senior living and health services, recently made a resident’s dream come true, reports life enrichment director Kristin Rowland.

Rose Campbell, Batesville, a resident there, is a devoted University of Kentucky fan. Her room is decked out with UK décor, she never misses a game and she’s always sporting some UK gear. Campbell enjoys watching the games on television, but the St. Andrews team knew she would absolutely love to attend a game in person. St. Andrews purchased tickets for the resident and she was able to invite her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Tasha Campbell, and their daughter, Sydney Campbell, to join her.

According to Rowland, “The game was sold out, went into overtime and the university team pulled out the win! Rose had such a great experience spending quality time with her family and rooting on her favorite team. She still talks about how much fun she had attending the game. To see Rose get so excited about going to see her favorite team play made all the work of getting the tickets worth it. We’re very grateful to have the opportunity to make our residents’ wishes come true, Rowland says.

The ability to grant wishes for campus residents is part of the facility’s Live a Dream Program, which demonstrate St. Andrews’ compassionate commitment to the residents by identifying and granting special wishes and lifelong dreams. The health campus, with assistance from the staff, resident family members and its parent company helps to fund these wishes.
