At the end of each calendar year, Enhanced Telecommunications Corp. employees select a Department of the Year. There are no specific criteria that a department must meet in order to be nominated. However, departments are typically selected because of a major accomplishment that often benefits the entire company, said Brandy Wessel, ETC public relations and media planner.
The 2013 recipient of ETC’s Department of the Year honor is the Customer Service and Sales and Training group, which includes manager Becky Brashear and department members Lindsay Back, Marisa Benham, Angela Gantz, Michelle Graf, Abby Gunter, Stacie Kelso and Beth Thalheimer.
According to Wessel, “Customer Service and Sales representatives are the ‘first faces’ of ETC, greeting customers and handling questions and concerns as they relate to our products. In 2013 the group worked overtime on both weeknights and weekends, dedicating themselves to learning new billing software. The group quickly became proficient with the new processes and procedures, and has in turn helped other company employees through the training phase. As a result of their patience and willingness to learn, the group earned this year’s Department of the Year distinction.”
