---- — The fifth annual IU Health North Hospital Art of Wine is slated for Saturday, July 20, from 5-10 p.m. in the Carmel Arts and Design District north of Indianapolis. Ertel Cellars Winery, Batesville, is one of 17 wineries represented.
For adults who wish to sample wines and are 21 years or older, the cost is $15, which includes a souvenir wine glass for the first 2,500 participants. Wines from across the state and beyond will be available to taste or purchase by the glass or bottle. Guests will be asked for a valid photo ID and to pay the tasting fee with cash. Most wineries will accept credit and debit cards for purchases made at their booths.
Guests of all ages can enjoy the unique stores, galleries and music for free, as there is no cost to enter the district.
National recording artists in the Kopecky Family Band will headline on the main stage. They have performed at SXSW, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza and Next Big Nashville festivals. They also spent last year co-headlining with The Lumineers.
Additional entertainment and art can be found throughout the festival, including colossal-size wine bottles masterfully decorated by local artists, musical group Tonos Triad, a wandering magician and a caricature artist.
