-- — Bruns-Gutzwiller Inc. officials have announced the retirement of Bill Gutzwiller.
“He has been an integral part of the company since its merger with Bruns Brothers Masonry in 1970 and prior to that with the W.A. Gutzwiller Co., founded by his father in 1920,” said chief financial officer Scott Smith.
In his career with the company, Gutzwiller managed a variety of construction projects from homes to schools and from jails to medical facilities.
Gutzwiller was also a past president of the Indiana Associated General Contractors and served on the board of directors of Ivy Tech State College.
Smith pointed out, “While Bill’s expertise and wisdom will be missed, we are hopeful that he will continue to work with the company from time to time as a consultant and welcome his guidance as such. Bruns-Gutzwiller, its principals and employees, all wish Bill a wonderful retirement and thank him for his role in the building of the company.”
