Blayr Barnard became the Southeast Indiana Small Business Development Center regional director in July 2009, according to a press release.
She has worked in small business development since 2002, including time as the director of the southeastern Montana SBDC and the Business and Industry Data Center coordinator in northwest Texas. The Texas Holdings co-owner has been an adjunct professor at four colleges and universities in Montana and Indiana for entrepreneurship and business classes. She is also a certified QuickBooks Pro advisor, certified economic development finance professional and certified FastTrac facilitator.
Recently, she completed the IEDC's entrepreneurial and small business development strategies course. She obtained both her bachelor's of marketing and management and master's of business administration degrees from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas.
Barnard also received a Purdue University Bravo Award for all her hard work. In March, she received a Certificate of Excellence for becoming a member of the "Twelve Million Dollar Club." She also received a Certificate of Recognition in March for the largest aggregate change in sales.
The Southeast ISBDC was recognized for achieving 100 percent of their goals in 2014. It also received a Certificate of Recognition for achieving the highest conversion of workshop attendees to clients.
