Congressman Luke Messer is gearing up to host the 6th Congressional District Job Fair, which takes place Wednesday, July 2, at Ball State University’s Worthen Arena in Muncie. It is open to the public from 2-4:30 p.m. Veterans can get in one hour early, from 1-2 p.m., for some one-on-one time with employers.
The 18th annual event, which has become an area tradition, draws dozens of employers from across the region who are looking to hire.
“Thanks to strong leadership in our state, Indiana’s unemployment rate is less than 6 percent,” said Messer. “But that’s still too high. In this struggling economy, too many hard-working Hoosiers are having a difficult time finding good-paying jobs. That’s why I’m glad we’re able to partner with some great local organizations to host the job fair again this year.”
Admission is free and no preregistration is required. An event flier is available online at www.messer.house.gov.
