Women's conference set for July 29

-- — The 2011 Women in Business Conference is scheduled for Friday, July 29, at Greensburg Elementary School.

The conference, "Doing Business in Your Little Black Dress," is a joint effort of the Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce, Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, Brookville/ Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and Ripley County Chamber of Commerce.

The day will begin with a breakfast provided by HighPoint Orchard of Greensburg and opening keynote speaker Starla West, who will energize the crowd and show the power of confidence and initiative to build relationships and an instant bond anytime, anywhere with anyone.

Numerous break-out sessions will run from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.; 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and from 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will feature a fantastic lineup of speakers.

At noon, attendees will gather in the Greensburg Elementary School Cafeteria, where they will be treated to a meal provided by the chef of Indiana Downs.

Keynote speaker Starla West will then speak to the group about "Navigating Your way Around a Business Meal."

She is sponsored by Indiana Bank and Trust and Levensteins Abbey Carpet of Greensburg.

From 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., attendees are encouraged to return to the cafeteria for door prizes and a special surprise.

Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce director Jeff Emsweller said, “This day will be informative, entertaining and well worth the time scheduled away from work to attend.”

Registration costs $79. Interested persons may stop by the Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce, 125 N. Broadway St., Greensburg, for registration forms or call 812-663-2832.
