nws - bv082313 - BCSC board (Campbell salute)

Maj. Dawn Campbell (left) told BCSC leaders, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart" for letting her temporarily leave a BHS teaching post to serve in the military. She gave the district a certificate stating BCSC is "a patriotic employer for contributing to national security." President Chris Lowery said, "We're humbled you would give this to this corporation. We're thrilled you're back and grateful for your service." Allowing her to alternate educational and military careers "is not tough for us to do. It's the right thing for us to do."
