Concert

God’s Idea of a Good Time will perform Sept. 9, 10 a.m., Church on the Rock. Info: 934-5192.

Chicken Dinner

St. John’s United Church of Christ, Penntown, will have its annual chicken dinner Sept. 9 with serving from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Freewill donation. Carryouts: adults, $10; kids, $5. Country store.

Fall Festival

St. Paul (Smyrna) Lutheran Church, 3815 S. County Road 550 E., Greensburg, will host its annual fall festival and pork chop dinner Sept. 9, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Freewill offering. Carryouts, $9. Homemade ice cream, country store, music.

Stillboard Shoot

Batesville Sons of the American Legion will host a stillboard shoot Sept. 9, noon, Prell-Bland American Legion Post 271. Info: 934-2228.

Donations Welcome

Donations for the  Batesville Vineyard Community Church’s annual free yard sale can be brought to the church Sept. 10-13, 5-9 p.m.

Open House

Franklin County Humane Society leaders are hosting an open house Sept. 11,  7 p.m., 107 High St., Brookville. An overview and volunteer opportunties will be detailed.

Trail Naming

Contest Deadline

Entry forms for Batesville’s trail naming contest are due by Sept. 11. They can be downloaded at www. batesvilleindiana.us or picked up at the Memorial Building.

Chamber Luncheon
