Art Display

The Rural Alliance for the Arts Young Artist Showcase Art Winners Display is open to the public April 15, 3-4:30 p.m. at the Batesville public library. Attendees will be able to meet the artists in grades 6-12. 

Sunrise Service

An ecumenical service performed by over 80 voices from more than 18 area churches will be held April 15, 7 p.m., St. John’s United Church of Christ, Huntersville.

Golf Scramble

Early Registration

A four-player golf scramble to benefit Carey Hall, who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS),  is May 19, 12:15 p.m., Greensburg Country Club. The cost ($60 before April 15, $65 after) includes cart, prizes, snacks and awards dinner. Battle of the Bands Deadline

The deadline for area bands to register for the

Batesville Music Boosters Battle of the Bands is April 15. Registration forms are available at area high schools or by e-mailing aedwards@etczone.com or calling 934-6602. Cost: $20 per band. Limited to first eight bands to register. The competition will be held April 28, 7-11 p.m., Batesville Middle School commons.

Right to Life

Right to Life of Southeastern Indiana will meet April 16, 7 p.m., Versailles Church of Christ, Jarvis Drive.

 

Tuesday, April 17

BAHS Meeting

The Batesville Area Historical Society will meet April 17, 7 p.m., Batesville Memorial Public Library. Margaret Mary Community Hospital President Tim Putnam will give an update on the new medical office building.

 

Wednesday, April 18

Retired Teachers RSVP Deadline

The Ripley County Retired Teachers’ dinner meeting is April 25, 5:30 p.m., Osgood Town Hall. Retired teachers, their spouses and friends are welcome. RSVP by April 18: Andrea Westerfeld, 934-2284.

 

Thursday, April 19

Milan Kindergarten Registration

Milan Elementary School will hold kindergarten registration April 19, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., for children who will be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1. Parents should bring the child’s birth certificate and immunization record. Info or to sign up for a half hour session: 812-654-2922.
