Swim Team Registration

The Batesville Swim Team will hold registrations April 11, 7 p.m., Batesville Middle School commons for those interested in swimming this summer. Those who can’t attend should contact Patricia Hatcher at phatcher @etczone.com.

 

Thursday, April 12

Coffee Social

St. John’s Lutheran Church, Napoleon, will have its  monthly coffee social April 12, 4:30 p.m. Proceeds will be donated to Holton area tornado victims.

Ladies’ Auxiliary

The Batesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3183 Ladies’ Auxiliary will meet April 12, 7 p.m., post home. Info: Patti Weberding, 934-3644.

Steel Drum Band

The Walnut Hills High School Steel Drum Band will perform April 12, 7 p.m., Franklin County High School auditorium. Tickets, available at FCN Bank or at the door, are $8, adults; $5, students and seniors; free, kids under 5 and active military.

Book Sale

The Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library will hold a book sale sponsored by Friends of the Library April 13-14, 9 a.m.; and April 15, 1 p.m. An early bird sale for friends members is April 12, 6 p.m. Info: 812-663-2826.

Rummage and Bake Sale

St. Mark’s Lutheran Church is hosting a rummage sale and youth bake sale April 13, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Laser Tag

Cierra’s Club is hosting a night of laser tag April 13, RomWeber Marketplace. Junior high students, 5-7 p.m.; high school, 7-9 p.m. Pizza served. Gibson Theater movie, 9:45 p.m. Info: www.romwebermarket place.com.

Community Dance

A community dance is April 13, 6-7:30 p.m., Batesville Primary School gym. Fiddle ’n Feet, Indianapolis, will teach early American dances during the free Rural Alliance for the Arts-sponsored event.

“Jack and the Beanstalk”

The Batesville Memorial Public Library will host the Indianapolis Opera Ensemble’s performance of “Jack and the Beanstalk” April 13, 7 p.m. Free family program. Info: 934-4706.
