Kindergarten Parent Meetings

Batesville Community School Corp. will host kindergarten parent meetings Feb. 15 and 23, 6-7 p.m., Batesville Primary School cafeteria, to present full and half day options for the 2012-13 school year. Parents should attend one of these meetings.

 

Thursday, Feb. 16

OFC Program

T’ai chi chih will be presented on five Thursdays (Feb. 16-March 22), 7-8:30 p.m., Oldenburg Franciscan Center. Cost: $15 each or $65 for the series. Info: 933-6437 or center@oldenburgosf.com.

Library Happenings

The Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library will sponsor February Fun and Frolic! for grades 6-12 Feb. 17, 7 p.m. Info: 812-663-2826.

OFC Program

Cornhole Tournament

The East Central Trojan Baseball Boosters are hosting a cornhole tournament Feb. 18, noon, St. John Lutheran Church, Hubbells Corner, 12523 North Dearborn Road, Sunman, Fellowship Hall. Stillboard/Trap Shoot

The Batesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Men’s Auxiliary will have a stillboard and trapshoot Feb. 19, 11 a.m., Tri-Township Conservation Club, Oldenburg.  Prizes: meat and money.

Healthy Kids Carnival

The Southeastern Indiana YMCA Healthy Kids Day Carnival, which is open to the public, is Feb. 19, 1-3:30 p.m., YMCA gymnasium. Info: 934-6006.

Inviting Catholics Home

Inviting Catholics Home, a program for nonpracticing Catholics who are seeking answers to questions about returning to the church, will be held Feb. 20 and 27 and March 5 and 12, 7-8 p.m., St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Leon. Info: 812-623-3642.

FAFSA Workshop

A Free Application for Federal Student Aid workshop is Feb. 21, 1-7 p.m., Franklin County High School. National Center for College Costs experts  will help families complete the FAFSA and answer questions. Also, Feb. 27, Oldenburg Academy.
