Breakfast

Boy Scout Troop 634 will host a freewill offering breakfast Feb. 5, 9 a.m.-noon, St. John’s United Church of Christ, Huntersville. Proceeds benefit the church and its heating/cooling system.

Coffee Talk

Stillboard/Trap Shoot

Oldenburg Knights of St. John Commandery 220 will host a stillboard and trap shoot Feb. 5, 11 a.m., Tri-Township Conservation Club, Oldenburg.  Prizes: meat and money. Partial proceeds benefit Tri-County Council for Special People.

Stillboard Shoot

Batesville Sons of the American Legion will host a stillboard shoot Feb. 5, noon, Prell-Bland American Legion Post 271. Info: 934-2228.

Red Hat Deadline

The Red Hat Belles of Batesville will meet for lunch Feb. 8, noon, Sherman House. Bring a valentine to be sent to troops serving in the military. Reservations due by Feb. 5: Katy Hortemiller, 934-5267.

Blood Drive

A community blood drive, sponsored by St. Maurice Catholic Church and conducted by Hoxworth, will be held Feb. 6, 1-6:30 p.m., Napoleon Community Center. Appointments are not necessary but may help minimize waiting. Info or appointments: Arlene Gehl, 812-852-4394.

Library Happenings

World War 2 Discussion Group

The World War 2 Discussion Group will meet Feb. 7, 10 a.m., Batesville Memorial Public Library. A presentation will be given on the years 1940-41, up to the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
