Financial Peace

Secular Franciscans

The Secular Franciscans, a fraternity for lay people who want to follow the rule of life of St. Francis, will meet Feb. 28, 6:30 p.m., Holy Family Catholic Church, Oldenburg, Father Rudolf Room.

Lions Club

Food Giveaway

A Ripley County Food Pantry large food giveaway is March 1, 11 a.m. until the food runs out, Osgood fairgrounds. Persons in need who live in Laughery, Center, Jackson, Johnson and Otter Creek townships are eligible.

Beautification League

Grant Application Deadline

Stayin’ Alive grant applications for projects and programs that aim to reduce Franklin County substance abuse problems are due by noon March 1. Info: www.stayinalive24.org or 765-647-7272.

Scrapbooking RSVP Deadline

St. John Lutheran Church, Hubbell’s Corner, Sunman, will hold a scrapbooking event March 9, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Cost: $25, includes space, breakfast and drinks. Bring supplies and a lunch item to share.
