Library Happenings

On Oct. 17, the Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library will sponsor Creepy Cookie Decorating for grades K-2, 11 a.m.; and an edible Halloween art project for tweens grades 3-5, 2 p.m. Info: 812-663-2826.

OFC Program

Soup Supper

The St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Osgood, Soup Supper is Oct. 18, 4:30-6:30 p.m., corner of West County Road 700 North and Finks Road. Soups, sandwiches,  desserts. Freewill offerings.

Genealogy Discussion

Genealogy and history research tips will be offered during a discussion group Oct. 18, 5:30 p.m., Brookville Library.

Saturday, Oct. 20

Hartman Benefit

An online auction ending Oct. 20 will raise money for cancer medical treatments for Bob Hartman, Sunman.  Persons may donate and view items at www.32auctions.com/ hartmanfundraising event or www.facebook .com/HartmanFundraisingEvent. An event featuring food, booths, kids activities, a band and dancing will be held Oct. 20, 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Sunman American Legion. Info: 812-584-3307.

Harvest Dinner

St. Charles Catholic Church, Milan, will hold its ninth annual Harvest Dinner Oct. 20. Roast pork dinners served 4-7 p.m. Cost: adults, $10; kids 5-12, $4; and under 5, free. Carryouts available. Raffle, country store, pony rides for kids.

Pork Chop Supper

The Hamburg Knights of St John pork chop supper is Oct 20, 4-7:30 p.m., Hamburg hall. Cost is $10. Purchase a reverse raffle ticket and receive a meal discount. Info: Dan Nobbe, 934-3979.
