Saturday, March 2

Women’s Conference

The Westport Christian Church, Westport, Women’s Conference is March 2, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Speakers, games, prizes.  The $20 cost includes lunch. Preregistration is preferred: www.westportchristianchurch.com or 812-591-3807.

Hazardous Waste

The Southeastern Indiana Recycling District will collect household hazardous waste at no charge March 2, 8-10 a.m., Franklin County Recycling Center, 9076 Landfill Drive, Metamora; and 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Ripley County Recycling Center, 2710 Hasmer Hill Road, Osgood.

OFC Program

Living the Sacraments will be presented March 2, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Oldenburg Franciscan Center. Cost: $45, includes lunch. Info and reservations: 933-6437 or center@oldenburgosf.com.

Schonhoft Benefit

The Jake Wake 5K Run/Walk, to help with the rehab of Jake Schonhoft, a 2008 Franklin County High School graduate, is March 2, 10 a.m., FCHS. Pork Chop Supper

The Hamburg Knights of St. John will have a pork chop supper March 2, 4:30-7:30 p.m., Hamburg hall. Cost: $10.

Gem/Mineral Show

The Eastern Indiana Gem and Geological Society is holding a gem and mineral show March 2, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and March 3, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Wayne County Fairgrounds, Richmond. Cost: adults, $5; seniors, $3; ages 7-18, $1; under 7, free. Info: 765-966-4249.

Breakfast

St. Joseph American Legion Post 464, St. Leon, will hold an all-you-can-eat whole hog sausage breakfast March 3, 7 a.m.-noon. Freewill offering.

Breakfast

Holy Guardian Angels Parish, Cedar Grove, will hold its annual pancake and whole hog sausage breakfast March 3, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m., school behind church. Packages of sausage patties will also be available for purchase.

Spud, Soup and Salad

St. John’s United Church of Christ, Huntersville, will offer a freewill offering baked potato, salad bar and soup lunch March 3, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., church dining room. Silent auction.

Stillboard Shoot

A Batesville Sons of the American Legion stillboard shoot is March 3, 11 a.m., Prell-Bland American Legion Post 271. Info: 934-2228.

Cross Eyed Riders

The Christian Motorcyclists Cross Eyed Riders No. 752 will meet March 3, Hog Rock Cafe, 101 E. Carr St., Milan. Food and fellowship, 1 p.m.; meeting, 2 p.m. Info: 513-218-9707.
