Wed., March 6

Toastmasters

Batesville Toastmasters meetings, open to the public, are held every other Wednesday, including March 6, noon-1 p.m. Info: 934-3462.

La Leche League

La Leche League of Sunman, a breast-feeding support group, will meet March 6, 5-6 p.m., Dr. Suzanne Martini’s office, Sunman. Expectant and breast-feeding moms welcome. Info: 812-654-2593.

Red Hat Deadline

The Red Hat Belles of Batesville will meet March 13, St. Andrews Health Campus. They will also go to Chateau of Batesville and The Waters of Batesville. Bring a $1 gift for each establishment. Lunch follows, noon, Casa Mexicana.  Reservations due by March 6: Eleen Weisenbach, 934-3484. A fall one-day trip to Columbus, Ohio, is planned. RSVPs needed as soon as possible.

Cardinal Crawl Early RSVP Deadline

St. Louis School’s fifth annual Cardinal Crawl 5K run/walk is April 13, 9 a.m. Registration forms are available at the school, church, parish office, Southeastern Indiana YMCA and at www.batesville.k12.in.us/sls. Cost: individual, $10; household, $35 if registered by March 6. After that, fees increase by $5. Proceeds benefit SLS athletics and local food pantry.

Farm Fertilizing

New fertilizer and manure regulations for farmers will be discussed March 6, 1-2:30 p.m.; and March 7, 6-7:30 p.m., Room 203, government center, 1010 Franklin Ave., Brookville. Info: Anna Morrow, extension educator, 765-647-3511.

BPS Kindergarten Registration

The Batesville Primary School kindergarten registration is March 7, cafeteria and gym. To schedule an appointment: 934-4509. Half-hour sessions are between 8:15 a.m.-2:15 p.m. and 5-7:15 p.m. Each child’s birth certificate (no photo copies) and current immunization records must be brought.

Canal Dinner

The Whitewater Canal Byway Association’s annual dinner is March 7, 6 p.m., Whitewater Valley Gateway Park depot, Metamora. The Indiana Office of Tourism Development director will speak. Reservations are required for the $14.95 dinner: 765-647-2541 or copperron@aol.com.

OFC Program

Lenten Series: Ezekiel will be presented March 7, 7-8:30 p.m., Oldenburg Franciscan Center. Cost: $15. Info and reservations: 933-6437 or center@oldenburgosf.com.
