Health and

Safety Day

The free Batesville Memorial Public Library Kids Health and Safety Day suggested for ages pre-kindergarten to third grade is Aug. 25, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., library parking lot. 

Chicken Dinner

The St. Paul United Methodist Church chicken dinner is Aug. 25, 4-7 p.m., church park shelter, Sunman. Cost $8. Homemade ice cream extra.

After Hours

Concert Series

Acoustic folk quartet Wild Carrot and the Roots Band, Cincinnati, performs a free show as part of the Batesville Memorial Public Library After Hours Concert Series Aug. 25, 7 p.m. 

 

Sunday, Aug. 26

Breakfast

The Batesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Men’s Auxiliary will have an all-you-can-eat breakfast Aug. 26, 7 a.m.-noon. Goetta will also be sold in two-pound containers for $5.

Breakfast Buffet

St. Paul’s Ladies Sodality will host a hot breakfast bar buffet Aug. 26, 7:30 a.m.-noon, St. Paul’s Church hall, New Alsace. Freewill donation.

Open House

A retirement open house and 90th birthday party for longtime Brookville/Franklin County Chamber of Commerce executive director Lois Clark is Aug. 26, 1-4 p.m., Brookville United Methodist Church, 150 E. 8th St.

Food For Thought

Food for Thought sponsored by the Greensburg Chamber of Commerce will be held Aug. 28, 11 a.m.,  Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library.

RAA Meeting

The Rural Alliance for the Arts annual meeting is Aug. 28, 7 p.m., Batesville Memorial Public Library. 2012-13 season preview, awards presentations, election of board members.

Support Group

A support group for individuals and/or family members to receive mutual support, education, advocacy and service regarding mental health issues meets the last Tuesday of the month, including Aug. 28, 7-8:30 p.m., Decatur County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, OB conference room.
