Organ Recital

An organ recital featuring Terry Jankowski, Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Monroe, Mich., music director, will be held Aug. 17, 2 p.m., Sisters of St. Francis Chapel, Oldenburg. Freewill donations accepted.

Brookville

After Hours

Brookville After Hours  and Music on Main Aug. 17, 6-8 p.m., offers the United Way of Franklin County’s A-Main-Zing Race; Whitewater Canal Trail open house with brats and metts; music of Richard Scott, Dean Phelps and Pump 18; and free wine tastings at Tebbe’s Liquor.

 

Saturday, Aug. 18

OFC Program

“Our Father: Prayer of the Cosmos” Part II will be presented Aug. 18, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Oldenburg Franciscan Center. Cost: $45 plus about $12 for book. Info and reservations: 933-6437 or center@oldenburgosf.com.

Ribeye Steak Dinner

Batesville Knights of St. John will host a ribeye steak dinner Aug. 18, 5-8 p.m. Cost: adults, $10; children under 12, $7.

Library Happenings

The Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library will sponsor Teen Movie Night – “The Hunger Games,” 6:30 p.m. Info: 812-663-2826.

Church Homecoming

Kathy Wurtz Back Benefit

The Kathy Wurtz Back Golf Tournament with a four-person team scramble is Aug. 19, 8 a.m., Brookhill Golf Course. Cost: $55 per person includes dinner at Batesville Knights of Columbus. Other events at K of C hall: cornhole tournament, 1 p.m., $10 per person; all-you-can-eat chicken dinner, adults, $10 and kids 6 and under, $5; silent auction, raffle, entertainment.
