Earth Day Program

Franklin County Humane Society Low-Cost Pet Vaccination Clinic

April 27, 1-4 p.m., Franklin County Fairgrounds, Brookville. Vaccinations, flea and tick prevention and microchips. Costs range from $8-$20.  Credit and debit cards accepted, but not checks. Info: 765-647-1444.

Kevin Wallpe Benefit

A freewill offering chicken dinner is April 27, 5-7 p.m., Batesville Knights of Columbus hall, for the young man who suffered a severe brain injury after being struck by a car. Music by 5 Lights follows until 11 p.m.  All proceeds go toward medical and travel expenses.

Batesville High School Battle of the Bands

Franklin County Extension Homemakers Scholarship Deadline

Applications for a $500 scholarship that will be awarded to a county senior must be postmarked by April 27. Forms are available from high school guidance counselors, the extension office or www.extension.purdue.edu/franklin.
