The deadline to enter The Country Showdown, part of the Batesville Music and Arts Festival, is June 6. The contest, presented by Batesville radio station WRBI and Jim True Ford, Brookville, is June 20, 7 p.m., Liberty Park pavilion. Entry forms can be picked up at the station or downloaded from the Web site www.wrbiradio.com. Each entry must include a CD of two songs plus $20 fee.

The St. Louis School Rummage Sale is June 6, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; June 7, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; and June 8, 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m., activity center. Saturday from noon-4 p.m., everything is half price. Sunday is $1 a bag day.

A chicken dinner will be held June 7, 4:30-7:30 p.m., St. Leon American Legion. Carryout available.

The deadline to enter the Rural Alliance for the Arts Community Art Show, part of the Batesville Music and Arts Festival, is June 7. This judged show with cash prizes for artists at least 18 has three categories: fine arts, applied arts and photography. Entry forms are available at Batesville and Greensburg libraries; RomWeber Marketplace, Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce and Tri-State Artisans, Batesville; and Schwestern Gallery of Arts, Oldenburg.
