The People Assisting Animals In Need (PAAIN) garage sale is May 31, 8 a.m.-noon, spay/neuter clinic drop-off next to Blue Flame, State Road 46 near its intersection with Columbus Avenue, Batesville.

The St. John’s United Church of Christ, Penntown, Homecoming is June 1. Worship, 10 a.m.; dinner, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Freewill offering. Carryouts and whole chickens available. Proceeds benefit St. John’s Cemetery.
