Saturday, May 31

The People Assisting Animals In Need (PAAIN) garage sale is May 31, 8 a.m.-noon, spay/neuter clinic drop-off next to Blue Flame, State Road 46 near its intersection with Columbus Avenue, Batesville.

A Rock ‘n Roll Reunion Party with the Endurance Band is May 31, 5-11 p.m., Liberty Park. Bring your own beverages and a covered dish to share. Freewill donations benefit the Margaret Mary Health Foundation Cancer Fund. Info: Tress Zielinski, 212-7964.

The Batesville Knights of Columbus are hosting a chicken dinner May 31, 5-8 p.m. Proceeds go to the St. Anthony Parish Haiti Mission.

Sunday, June 1

The St. John’s United Church of Christ, Penntown, Homecoming is June 1. Worship, 10 a.m.; dinner, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Freewill offering. Carryouts and whole chickens available. Proceeds benefit St. John’s Cemetery.

The Knights of Columbus Council 1461 annual fishing derby for kids ages 4-16 is June 1, noon-3 p.m., Liberty Park. Bait provided. Prizes and light lunch follows at hall.

St. Louis School Rummage Sale donations will be accepted June 1, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and June 2-4, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., activity center.

Monday, June 2

People Assisting Animals In Need, Batesville, offers transports to spay and neuter clinics twice monthly on first and third Mondays at the United Coalition for Animals, Cincinnati. Fees are $35 for cats and $65 for dogs. To schedule an appointment: 812-932-DOGS or www.paain.org.

The Daughters of Isabella will meet June 2, 7 p.m., Batesville Knights of Columbus hall.

Tuesday, June 3

On June 3, the Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library will host candy science for grades 1-5, 10 a.m., and Maker Space – Play Doh for all ages, 1 p.m. Info and RSVP: 812-663-2826 or www.greensburglibrary.org.
